Data Validation Trainings – April 14, 21, and 28

As part of our work for data validation, we have teamed up with Deborah from Cambridge West to provide us with trainings on the different State and Federal Reporting requirements. These trainings will help us understand the data that we put into our SIS impacts the reports we send out as well as our funding.
As part of the Lunch and Learn training series, this Data Integrity training will be provided on Fridays in April and will be recorded for those who cannot attend in person. Each training will use the following Zoom link: https://yccd-edu.zoom.us/j/85866001178. Although anyone can attend to learn about this, the training will best support those who report or belong in the following groups:
- Curriculum and Scheduling
- Financial Aid
- Human Resources
- A&R
- Counseling (Including ESL)/Testing/Assessment/Credit for Prior Learning
- DSPS
- EOPS/CalWORKS & Foster Youth
- VTEA/Perkins
- Tutoring
- Veterans/Special Student Programs
The dates that these are scheduled are as follows:
- Friday, April 14 at 12-1:30 PM – MIS Training
- Friday, April 21 at 12:30-2:00 PM – SCFF Training
- Friday, April 28 at 12-1:30 PM – IPEDS/320 Training
Please attend this Lunch and Learn training series if you can. Future work will be built on these trainings to help support our Data Validation practices.

Yuba College News
The Yuba College math club celebrated Pi Day on March 14, Pi Day is an annual celebration of the mathematical constant π = 3.14. For a donation to the math club, one could put a pie on the face of a Yuba College math professor. Pictured is a student who got to “pie” Dr. Mark Lydon!
On March 18, four MESA students and EOPS Specialist Michelle Rosales, attended the Silicon Valley Women in Engineering Conference. They had an eventful day with workshops and presentations.
Congratulations to the Yuba College Mass Communications program team who won second place in the Yuba Sutter 48-hour film festival! Local filmmakers had a challenge to make a film within just 48-hours which was later shown at the Sutter Theater Center for the Arts on March 25th.
