Theatre
Did you know that the campus theatre, which provides instructional and performance space, had never been upgraded since its construction in 1963? Your bond dollars funded a full transformation of the facility that included upgrades to the audio, visual and lighting systems, improvements to the existing acoustical systems, upgraded electrical and heating/air conditioning systems, improvements necessary for American Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance, new curtains, rigging, a new roof, and restoration of all 299 seats.
Physical Education Complex
Like the theatre, the campus’ gymnasium and athletic facilities had not undergone a major renovation since their construction in 1962. Measure J funds enabled: the installation of a new American Disabilities Act accessible all-weather track, new turf in the football and soccer fields, new flooring in the gymnasium, upgraded and expanded stadium seating for 1,500 people, construction of a new weight room, press box and concession stand. Your tax dollars funded the installation of a new scoreboard and roof and electrical, data, telephone, fire alarm and heating/air conditioning systems. The project also included interior and exterior upgrades and finishes, updating restrooms, fully refurbishing the locker room facilities, and improvements to the grounds.
