Update on Chancellor Search
The search for a new Chancellor is underway and the job announcement and screening committee members were Board approved at the July 14, 2022 Board Meeting. Advertisement for the position has began. We are on schedule to name a new Chancellor by June 2023. You can find more information on the Chancellor’s Search webpage.

Woodland Community College News
Mark your calendars! On Friday, August 4, Woodland Community College will be hosting a surplus sale. The college, in coordination with the District Office, will be decluttering all three campuses by hosting a surplus sale at the Woodland Campus, 2300 E. Gibson Rd, Woodland, CA 95776. Inventory of items have began and all staff will have an opportunity to help identify equipment and furniture in their areas that should be sold.
Planning for Convocation 2022 is well underway for Woodland Community College. Convocation will be held in person on Wednesday, August 10th in the Community Room 800 at the Woodland Campus. A small committee is helping to develop the agenda. The committee is considering past input from participants as well as focusing our conversations on our Educational Master Plan (EMP), Equity, and Guided Pathways.
Woodland Community College Founders Day was held on April 8, 2022 and was a success. Final numbers have been completed and the net results of the event were $23,127. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped in making this event great!

Yuba College News
Yuba College will be hosting their annual Convocation Day on August 10, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. All employees are expected to attend Convocation and during this time the campus is closed to students.
A team of leaders attended the American Association of Colleges and Universities Open Educational Resources (OER) Academy this month and walked away with an action plan to further our work on OER resources for students. OER is generally a movement to transition course materials from paid textbooks to free, open-source materials, which directly benefits students.
